Right now it seems like The Orlando Magic has taken the Kings place, How long do you think will it take for The Kings to rebuild? Which new players do they need and who do they need to get rid of?
Answer: That is a good question. Presently all of the professional teams in Northern California suck (some worse than others). I am and have always been a Raiders fan but they SUCK (really SUCK) The 49ers SUCK and are in first place because Seattle seems to have bitten the dust, Arizona looks like a 1 year wonder. The A's Suck and so do the Giants but not quite as bad as the A's Golden State Warriors SUCKKKK, they pretty much need a new team and finally the Sacramento kings, currently they suck but I am really wondering if the owner is just to afraid to spend any real money to get top notch players, especially with the economy the way it is and the unemployment rate in Sacramento is terrible (I live in Redding and it is 13% here)

Answer: Well, Rubio is probably the best pick the Kings have at this point. In any case, hopefully the Kings will get more wins than the pathetic 17 wins they gave us. I will go out on a limb and say they will win no more than 22 games.

SACRAMENTO KINGS?

I remember kings being the great team they were back in the day when they almost had a championship but lost it to the lakers, which was lucky for the lakers because Sacramento was the top team in the nba that year. What will it take, now that all of the veterans from Sacramento have gone, for the Kings to win a championship or even get into the playoffs?
Answer: The Kings find themselves in a position where they currently have the makings of a good team, but not a great one. To become great again some things will need to happen. 1. Mikki Moore will either need to start putting up numbers or face being traded, I dont care how good a guys is for the spirit of your team if he is a starter playing almost 30 minutes per game and averaging less than 8 PPG and 6 RPG, he averages almost as many turnovers per game as his assists and steals combined. 2. Ron Artest needs to learn when to pass the ball, he often finds himself being double teamed but seems to still have trouble passing out of it. 3. Beno Udrih needs to continue playing at his current pace, he is becoming a great point gaurd averaging over 20 PPG, 7 APG, and less than 1 turnover per game this last week. I am not saying he needs to put up those numbers every night, but he needs to become the solid point guard he has shown he can be. 4. Brad Miller needs to continue playing like he has almost all of this year, infact it could be argued that he is having the best year of his career. 5. Kevin Martin needs to continue to average at least 23 PPG, keep from getting injured, and develope his defence a bit. I have noticed that he tends to stand around alot on defence. 6. John Salmons needs to play much better off the bench. It is not an excuse that he isnt as "comfortable" coming off the bench, you have to have the same mindset you would as a starter. He is a good player and needs to step up and become the Kings leading 6th man. 7. Francisco Garcia needs to play the way he has been playing this year and he will have a great career ahead of him, the Kings Mr. Clutch. 8. Both Spencer Hawes and Sheldon Williams will need to continue to get extended mintues as they seem to be improving at a steady pace with each game they play. 9. Either Quincey Douby or Anthony Johnson will need to start playing better because the Kings are lacking a solid backup PG. 10. Both Abdur-Rahim and Kenny Thomas need to be traded or released for more cap room, both are overpaid and past their prime. 11. A draft pick for a solid backup PG could also be a useful thing to have.

How likely is it that the SACRAMENTO KINGS are moving to Anaheim, Orange County? are they really moving?

Are the Kings really going to be leaving Sacramento? and why would they move? their is a lot of protest up there from fans pleading for the team not to move, that show how much the fans care up there. Why does Southern California need another NBA team when it already has 2 NBA teams?
Answer: Actually, no... that shows that the fans care NOW, but where were they THEN? It's like breaking up with someone, you think you don't care, but then once the persons gone, you realize how much they meant. Sacramento the city including the owners of the team pleaded with Sacramento residents & fans to help in the rebuilding process of once Arco Arena, but they denied a helping hand. NOW that the situation has developed & gotten worse, where it looks as if the move WILL happen, suddenly they want to protest & say they are "loyal" fans & they will "help" now. But it's too late, the damage has been done, just like a relationship, you wait to long, it's over. The chances of them moving is good at this point... it's going to take a miracle to keep them in Sacramento. This sucks for many reasons for the Kings team, not just the fans, because now the once Kings fans in Sacramento will be forced to start liking another team or continue to like a team that no longer resides in they're city. This hurts the city because of loss revenue & the city become a 2nd tier city [due to not having a professional sports team] & being Sacramento is the capital of California, this also hurts the state knowing the capital is a 2nd tier city. This hurts the team further because they will be right next door to LA where 2 teams including the most popular team in the league [Lakers] reside. This means they have to REBUILD a new fan base & when your competing against the Clippers who have been there far longer & the Lakers who have a following unlike any other, it's hard to build fans. Especially when many LA residents hate the Kings because of the rivalry dating back to the early 2000's. Bad move for everyone & the only ones to blame are the Sacramento fans themselves. EDIT: @Lakers For 3-Peat, No disrespect, but I don't think the city is too small to carry a sports team. The only reason i feel this way is because before the Kings lost they're big 5 back in the early 2000's... Bibby, Doug, Webber, Divac, Etc... they were the #1 NBA team in the league for attendance, they had/have the record for the MOST sold-out games in league history, they are very much capable, they just gave up on they're team because the owners gave up on them. The management has made poor decisions in rebuilding that team & have had long enough to do it... 7 years & counting & all they have to show for it was Kevin Martin & Tyreke Evans. Another note, Sacramento is bordered by many smaller break-off cities, including the one I live in now, I go to the games regularly to see other teams, being a Laker fan myself. So they have enough people surrounding the city as well they don't mind a 20-55 min. commute.

Let Sacramento, San Jose and Seattle fight over the Clippers in their cities. If its true that the Kings are going to Los Angeles and also it would be a stupid idea for the Lakers to leave LA. Correction its in Anaheim. So the Kings will focus more on the OC and San Diego markets rather than LA?
Answer: Kings are staying in Sacramento one more year and they still can be in sacramento. If there is a compromise with the Maloofs and the city of Sacramento to build a new arena. That's the only way the team will stay in the central valley. The kings were never going to move to LA. They were suppose to relocate to Anaheim. Which is about 26 miles from Los Angeles. I'm pretty sure Orange county will be their main focus when it comes to markets. OC population is twice as bigger than Sacramento. Even though they maybe laker fans due to the proximity. I think the people of Orange County will go through an innovation and support their own home team. Some people just make it look more complex than it is. When having three NBA teams is a bad idea in the southern cali area, but the population in L.A is over 9 million people. OC and San Diego both have over 3 million citizens, so I don't think the kings will even try to captivate people living in LA. Clippers should move back to their original city San Diego. Even though LA is a big enough city and has enough people to support two NBA teams. I guess its up to the individuals preference when it comes to which LA team they want to support.

Answer: It's obvious they need to do something, firing the coach alone won't go far enough. This team had serious chemistry problems, starting with Artest and Bibby. One of the two will have to go, although neither player will be very easy to move. Bibby has $40 million and 3 years left on his contract. Potential trading partners would have to match that. Artest isn't as expensive, but most teams shudder at the thought of adding him to their locker room. Kenny Thomas and Shareef Abdur Rahim also have contracts that make them difficult to move. They're both overpaid. Other teams will invariably be interested in Kevin Martin, who happens to be the only player on their roster who they'd be stupid to trade. They need to do something, but they'll find it hard to attract trading partners. The Lakers will make a run at Bibby, and the Kings will be willing. Lamar Odom is a possibility because his contract is very similar. But this would create a logjam in the frontcourt with Artest, Thomas and Abdur Rahim. It's a remote possibility that Artest will be moved. His talent on the floor is attractive to other teams, but his personality is not. If they don't do anything, they'll say that Musselman was the problem, and they're happy with the current roster. This would be to save face because they couldn't find a deal that suited them. This team is a mess, and if you need someone to blame, look at the owners.

What are the SACRAMENTO KINGS chances of beating San Antonio?

The Kings are underdogs in this match up. But here in Sacramento we believe we have a great shot to win.. And why is that? please explain why?
Answer: San Antonio won it all last year and their team hasn't changed except that they are a year older. Sacramento squeaked in at the 8th slot, although they have been better than the 8th seed since Artest got there. Duncan is not as god as he has been, but... The bottom line is, its still the same team - San Antonio is. Their interior is better than the King's, offensively and defensively, they get to the hoop better, and they have better perimeter shooting. Perimiter defense is a push, with Ginobli cancelling out Bonzi, Bowen with Artest, and Bibby with Parker. The King's do have a very good starting 5, though, so I would think they could grab a couple games and make it a six game series, but I would consider San Antonio to be a considerable favorite. What it boils down to is a deeper team, with better team defense, and a ton of deep playoff experience.

They must trade Udrih, Moore and Salmons for a 1 star player (there choices: Ellis and Arenas if they are not injured or Ben Gordon) and draft well with their 2 first round picks (try to get Blake Grifffin). Answer: In light of declining attendance at ARCO Arena, and also in light of the increasing obsolescence of the building compared to newer NBA venues, there was a campaign to build a new $600 million facility in downtown Sacramento, which was to be funded by a quarter cent sales tax increase over 15 years. In 2006, voters overwhelmingly rejected ballot measures Q and R, leading to the NBA publicly calling for a new arena to be built at another well-known Sacramento facility, Cal Expo, the site of California's state fair. Negotiations between the Cal Expo governing board and the NBA (serving on behalf of the Maloof family) are ongoing; the Cal Expo board is looking for improvements to the entire facility (including $40 million in deferred maintenance) as well as a new arena. The NBA promises that no public money will be used for the project; the Cal Expo board has long sought state legislation that would allow Cal Expo to form a joint-powers authority to issue bonds and lease land to developers, it is thought that negotiations for an NBA arena will more quickly bring this to fruition. It has been rumored that the Kings may move to Las Vegas, Nevada, unless a new arena is built in Sacramento. I really hope they don't move the team, all these teams need to stay put for a while lol.
