We all know Florida Coach Urban Meyer was born in Ohio and went to OSU for school, he also got his coaching start at Ohio State. Now that he has proven himself at Florida to be among the elite coaches in the NCAA like Pete Carroll and Jim Tressell and Les Miles, he can probably coach wherever hed like. One day, a day I hope is a very long ways away, Jim Tressell will step down from coaching the Buckeyes, and will probably be remembered as one of the best if not the best Buckeye coach ever, and probably one of College Footballs best ever. When that day comes, do you think Urban Meyer will assume position of head coach at Ohio State? Its pretty likely in my opinion, although it would be 10-15 years down the road. What do you think?

We all should of saw this coming, but now is the next big question...how is the next one to take over the program? Some say and should be Urban Meyer, and why not. Should Urban Meyer let the powers that be at Michigan know that he would take the job if offered?

Think about it. Its a situation that is tailor made for him. They run a similar offense. He has tons of connections to get Ohio talent, being from the state and coaching at Bowling Green, and they have always had a culture of being a clean program. He also has a history of success against Ohio State. At Florida his problems are twofold. His kids cant keep from getting arrested. Two, if/when Gruden take over the Miami job, he will out recruit everyone. He will walk into a recruits house, point at the recruitment letter with his Super Bowl ring, and they will sign. Carroll was a terrible NFL coach, and he shut out UCLA and Cal for SoCA talent. Gruden is going to do the same with Florida talent.
Answer: You're missing one part though. The fact that the Gators are really the Gangbangers. I'll let you in on a secret. Michigan fans don't want Rod gone because the team sucks (it contributes but it isn't the primary reason). The real reason is that he ruined a clean program with the recent NCAA allegations. Don't believe me? The number of people calling for his head after the disaster of a first season he had tripled overnight once the allegations came out. Urban Meyer seems like a shady guy too. If he can keep it clean up here, I'm all for it. But if Michigan becomes UF part 2, then I say fire him. @Tyler- Michigan has always recruited well in Florida. Take a look at Denard Robinson. It is an interesting prospect though. Recruiting shouldn't be a problem since the Michigan brand still has some power to it. Michigan is reeling, so he doesn't need to come in and lead them to the Rose Bowl his first year. The talent is there on offense and they have decent players on defense. They won't have to deal with a transition year that they will have to with Harbaugh. And for all I know, Harbaugh may stay with Stanford. Florida is the 3rd most popular team in Florida behind FSU and Miami, and if either were to get back to relevance any time soon, UF is screwed. That isn't a problem at Michigan, where it's the exact opposite scenario.
